Random Thoughts From This College Student.

How long do you suppose I can live off of mini bagels and string cheese?...(its been a week thus far).

Today I went to my job orientation. That's right peeps, I am now employed at the great and snazzy store T.J Maxx. I dream big.

Over at my apartment every thursday we have Banana Pancake Night. Last week it was a hit so we've made it into a weekly thing. I actually don't love bananas, i put chocolate chips in my pancakes instead and they are delicious.

USU plays BYU this weekend. Can i just say that I hope we beat that cougar to death. (sorry to be so graphic)

It's almost the weekend. Conference weekend. and I love Conference and can't wait to hear the words of the prophet and the apostles.

The end. Have a great and safe weekend.

What's on your bedside table?

WHAT I'M READING:

I wish I could say I was reading some uplifting and inspirational book but I'm not... I'm reading a book about zombies. My brother Zach introduced this book to me and I can't put it down. I cant sleep or walk down dark streets either. It's seriously creepy. I'm kind of passed the point of no return though, I have to finish it.

WTF- What The Fro

My hair has always been relatively strait.. a few waves on the bottom layers but that was it.

In the last six'ish months my hair has changed..... to this.

WHAT THE FRO?
hormone imbalance? diet? climate change?
... I'm blaming global warming.

excuse me, I need to go tame the beast.

A Friday by Myself

Thursday night I caught a ride with frousin to N. Salt Lake. I thought I would make it a four-day weekend because I don’t have classes on Fridays. I know, lucky me! Four-day weekends every weekend.

There is no feeling like that of coming home.

I got to sleep in my own bed. Yum and heaven are the first words I think of to describe the comforts of my bed.

Friday I slept in. Yet again, yum and heaven come to mind. Mind you, “sleeping in” is 9 o’clock to me.

When I woke up I was all alone.

Dad, Merilee and Alex are all responsible working people.

I didn’t know what to do with myself. So I did nothing but waist away my Friday and it was awesome!!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

9:00- Made eggs in a blanket for breakfast and then had a dance party in the kitchen.

10:00- took a Jacuzzi bath while watching Letters to Juliet on the laptop. Then got ready—I was proud of myself for even attempting to get ready for the day.

12:00- watched a couple episodes of Rookie Blue on Hulu. LOVE this show, definitely check it out!

2:00’ish- BORED TO DEATH.

2:15- Still bored… decide to checkout the garage, maybe there will be something exciting in there.

2:17 -THE SCOOTER! Scooter ride definitely happening.

2:18- quick lunch

2:30- Scooter adventure.

Technically I’m not allowed to drive the scooter because I don’t have a motorcycle license…whatever the “h” that is. Rules are made to be broken… by me.

I decide to head north on Davis Boulevard. Feeling super cool and extremely nerdy all at the same time.

Found my way to the Bountiful temple.

Stopped at a cool park to read Mockingjay. Read one chapter before I was bored and eager to hop on the scooter again.

Friday evening the Averett/Barton clan went to Icon Lagoon day. Filled with lots of fun and motion sickness.

THE END of FRIDAY THE 17th

Hope your weekend is as boring then random then fun as mine.

Photo Booth

I am one h a p p y girl! I had to sell one of my kidneys to obtain this happiness but it was worth it because I now have a brand new Macbook Pro. Now i can be vain and take pictures of myself all day long.....or between classes at least.
What I love most believe it or not is not the Photo Booth application but instead my itunes. I love music and I've never had my own itunes library. I've always had to share with the family... So I can now say goodbye to the Carpenters (dad) and Dashboard Confessional (Alex)!!! I'm thrilled.

Maybe I'll even blog more often now that I have a computer of my own.

PS check out my cousin Taren, It's her birthday today. Lets get her up to 200 followers as a birthday present. She's hilariously funny and I adore her blog. Here's one of my favorites among many of her posts

Thrift Store Finds

Look a locket for only 1 dollar!!! I've always wanted one so I was super excited when I wondered into the DI and saw this baby. I think I'll add one or two longer chains to give it a little something something. Kind of like this necklace from UrbanOutfitters.

I would be ok if everyone gave me their mismatched china. I bought 6 little tea plates for 50 cents each at the DI. They all look different and I love it.

eventually I would love to do something like this. Do you have any favorite DI/Thrift Store? finds?
