and of course, we celebrated with a photo shoot.

I just wanted to say thank you to all my friends who have followed this blog to its 100^th post.

Looking back I’ve come to realize how truly thankful I am that I decided to become a blogger. I’m not good at writing in my journal but now I see that this blog is my journal. I’ve written about my bad days, good days, my family, my faith as well as my everyday gibberish. I’m not the best writer and I know my grammar and spelling aren’t perfect but thank you so much for reading and for all your lovely comments.

Trips on a Whim

Last Wednesday I was talking to Merilee and she brought up the idea of going to Vegas for the weekend to see my Brother's family and their new baby Brin. I really wanted to go so I found someone to cover my work schedule. Hitched a ride the following day to Salt Lake and from there my mini vacation began.

It was a quick trip, Thursday to Sunday, but I had so much fun and it was so good to see Autumn and Deven and their cute family. I love those little boys and their sweet baby Brin.

The weather was perfect. Every time I walked outside my face would find the sun and I would literally stand there with my eyes closed and arms spread welcoming the warmth. People watching probably thought I was crazy.

Brin is a very healthy baby. Weighing in at 9 pounds 2 ounces. I'm pretty sure a few of those ounces come from her hair and there is at least 3 pounds in her cheeks.

Triston and Jayden are the best big brothers a girl could ask for, they already adore her.

Leaving Vegas was hard. I love this little family and I miss them terribly!

I also had to leave the desert sun, which was pretty hard too.

I played a little joke on the boys upstairs. I made each of them a little homemade valentine.

I wrote them with my left hand and made sure a few words were spelt wrong.

Why I'm Single

Story time:

Today I was shopping at the grocery store, looking at the LeanCuisine pizza’s trying to decide between the Bbq Chicken and the Plain Cheese when I hear from behind me,

“Oh you should get that one, it’s my favorite.”

I turn around to see a guy who slightly resembled Chris Rock. Now in my head I’m thinking, “there is no way this guy eats LeanCuisine meals.”

Not because he was fat mind you, I just couldn't imagine a 6 foot 2 black guy eating a LeanCuisine meal.

So I reply

“Really?”

and he says, “No I just wanted to talk to you, you’re gorgeous.”

At this point I’m a little speechless.

He goes on to ask me my name and he tells me I’m gorgeous again. He then asks if I have a boyfriend or husband….

To which I reply, “yes.”

…. And that is why I will forever be single.

Normally I'm not a country music fan, I love me some Carrie Underwood but that's about it.

I found this clip while blog stalking one day and this man's voice makes me swoon!

This is a clip from the movie Country Strong, I haven't seen the movie but I'm definitely thinking about buying the soundtrack.
